The New York Commandery awards Midshipmen and Cadets who have excelled in leadership during their years at the United States Military Academy West Point and the United States Merchant Marine Academy King's Point.
Cadets of the North Rockland NJROTC completed a leadership retreat and historical tour June 11-13, 2021.
The Cadets journeyed to the Oswegatchie Educational Center in Croghan, NY where they participated in world-class team building events on a high-ropes course. Other events included a kyack event, night hike, and campfire.
In addition, cadets brushed up on their knowledge of the American revolution as they journeyed through the historic Mohawk valley. Cadets visited Fort Plain, Fort Stanwix, and General Nicholas Herkimer’s home.
“It was a fantastic trip and our new staff benefited greatly by having this time to work together” said the unit’s Commanding Officer.
